About the event
Night Dive at the Blue Heron Bridge
The Blue Heron Bridge transforms after dark into one of Florida's most exciting night diving destinations. As daytime creatures settle in and nocturnal hunters emerge, divers are treated to a completely different underwater experience filled with unique marine life encounters.
What to Expect
Marine Life: Night dives often reveal creatures rarely seen during the day. Divers may encounter octopuses hunting, sleeping parrotfish in their mucus cocoons, lobsters, crabs, shrimp, rays, seahorses, and other nocturnal marine life.
Surface Awareness: Blue Heron Bridge is located in an active boating area. All divers must carry an SMB and maintain awareness of boat traffic throughout the dive. Stay with your buddy and make controlled ascents. Night diving offers a completely different perspective of the underwater world. Your dive lights will reveal colors and behaviors that are often missed during daylight hours.
